I think this is my marathon #16:
10 in Japan: Tokyo : 8 and Tsukuba: 2
Hong Kong: 1
Looks like I move to the East each time.
The weather is looking good ! 8C at 6:00 a.m. and 18C at 3:00 p.m.
I’ll take the ferry at 7:30 to Staten Island, then the bus to the blue village.
I’ll start the marathon in the last corral of the last wave. At the back of the back. NYRR is aware of all my recent race results, where I paced my wife at a slower pace than usual, i.e. 2-3 minutes slower per miles 😉
So be it. I’ll start last, as usual.
I think a lot of runners in earlier waves may have over estimated a little bit their goal time to have a better corral ! So i’ll see if i overtake anyone tomorrow.
Afraid as usual.
Better prepared than usual as i ran more during the past 10 weeks with long runs on week ends.
So I target a 5:20 finish time.
The secret target 5:10, that would be my second best ever.
PB at 4:56 seems to far away with my extra years and over lack of fitness.
So for next year, I’ll either run again NYC, or run DC Marine Corps and pace Evelyne for NYC.
And for next year, I’ll train like a champion with a mystery coach…
