The big Buddha statue on the West side of Lantau Island, HKG

Monday was a National Holiday. We decided to visit the big Buddha on Lantau island. After a run on the MTR to Tung Chung, we took a taxi to go to the start of the trail.

From the sea side, we went up first to 300m in one hour, to the first pillar of the cable car. Then we followed the trail up to 500m before falling back towards the big Buddha. A very nice trail, quite difficult with a lot of stairs. About 10K. We came back with a very nice bus tour of the Southern shores of Lantau Island. Very rewarding course.

The top was very crowded with lots of tourists who came with the cable car or the buses.

Week 10K, Month 26K, Year 26K.
Bike, Swim: nil
