So my first week started slowly. Monday, Tuesday, nothing.

Wednesday: back to the track, as crowded as usual. The program was a bit complex with a 1200, 1000×2, 800×2 and more 400s. I did the first 1200 in exactly 2’30”, each 400 in exact 2’10. However, I had a light pain in the upper right leg so I gave up and ran slowly for 40 minutes. Total with warm up: 9 kilometers.

As usual, a lot of new joiners at Namban evening track event. Five new team members, one of which is a journalist of the Washington Post. Funny. I’ll be there in two months. In the city, not the newspaper.

Saturday: Alex has a another exam so let’s get up at 6:30. I leave at 7:05 for a first and last long run of my two weeks preparation for a half marathon. What a beautiful morning to run. It’s already hot (26-28C)and I envy the runners I met on their way back. I did three round around the Imperial Palace, in 36,36 and 37 minutes. I walked the hills, drank twice and ate fruit bars. Total of 2:30 for 20K.

Week: 30 K
Month: 122 K
Year: 760 K
